Our story
WILYMI was born out of a deeply personal journey. In 2020, when the world was turned upside down by Covid, I found myself out of work in my artistic endeavors. As a film and television actor and a former professional dancer, the sudden halt of work, social collaborations, and the state of the world, was devastating.
During this challenging time, I turned to a long-time passion: creating jewelry. It was a skill I had nurtured since childhood but had never considered turning into a business. Immersing myself in the craft provided solace and a way to focus on intentions that brought me comfort. Each piece I created was a personal reminder that everything would be okay.
To my surprise, the jewelry resonated with others. Friends and strangers would stop me, asking about my pieces and even offering to buy them off me on the spot. This organic interest turned my hobby into a business, supported by an incredible team of women who share my vision.
At WILYMI, our guiding principle is simple: “Would I wear this? Would I buy this? Does this intention inspire me to feel more capable?” This approach has connected us with a clientele who value thoughtfulness and consciousness in their fashion choices.
