A Night at CAFA

April had a certain glow to it this year. The kind that lingers a little longer than expected.

The Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards are always a special moment in the Canadian fashion calendar, but this one felt particularly personal. To see WILYMI worn, recognized, and celebrated in a space that honours both legacy and emerging voices was something we didn’t take lightly.

There’s a quiet kind of magic in events like this. Not loud or fleeting, but steady. A room full of people who care deeply about what they’re making — who understand the hours, the risks, the intuition behind every piece.

For us, it was also a reflection of what WILYMI has always stood for: thoughtful design, intentional materials, and jewelry that holds meaning beyond the surface.

The looks themselves carried that idea of modern heirlooms forward. Pieces that feel rooted in history but completely at ease in the present. Jewelry that doesn’t just accessorize, but becomes part of the story.

In the Press

We were honoured to see WILYMI featured across several publications surrounding CAFA. Each one capturing a different angle of the night, the designers, and the energy of Canadian fashion right now.

Coverage included:

Seeing the pieces live across these platforms was a reminder of how far a single design can travel. From a sketch, to a prototype, to a finished piece worn in a room full of industry voices, and then carried outward through editorial.

Moments like this don’t happen in isolation. They’re built on years of experimenting, refining, and trusting your instincts, even when the path isn’t entirely clear.

And they’re shared.

With the people who wear the pieces. With the collaborators who help bring them to life. With the community that continues to support and believe in what we’re building.

April felt like a checkpoint. Not an arrival, but a marker. A quiet acknowledgment to keep going, keep refining, keep creating pieces that mean something.

Thank you for being part of it.
